John had been consulting for nearly 20 years until his recent retirement. Previously he worked as Director of Security & Loss Prevention at Coles Myer after retiring from the Victoria Police in 1993 in the role of Deputy Commissioner (Operations). John completed a Bachelor of Arts (Criminal Justice Administration) and post graduate Diploma of Criminology and has been awarded the Australian Police Medal. He previously volunteered for Greater Geelong Local Safety Committee and is a member of the Barwon Health Foundation Council and a member of the Geelong Gala Day Committee. John has considerable Board experience and is a past Director of Metropolitan Ambulance Service, Victoria and Barwon Health.

Jim is director of Harwood Andrews, specialising in workplace relations law. He is founding member of the Barwon Community Legal Service and he is also a member of the Deakin University Academic Advisory Board for the School of Law.

William Mathers

William is the former Chairperson of Barwon Youth and is an Inspector with the Victoria Police. He has a Bachelor of Police Studies, Associate Diploma of Police Studies and a Graduate Certificate Public Sector Management.

Paul has close to 20 years of corporate leadership experience in the financial and health services industries, most recently as Chief Executive Officer of GMHBA Limited for over 11 years until early 2008. Paul also has extensive experience as a director, formerly in the above industries as well as information technology and as a Board Member, Committee for Geelong. Since transitioning from his CEO role at GMHBA, Paul has provided consulting services to the health insurance and commercial building industries. He is currently also Chairman of CUA Health Limited.

Lucy was appointed to the position of Executive Director Nursing and Midwifery at Barwon Health, Geelong, Australia in 2005 and has an Adjunct Professorial appointment with Deakin University, School of Nursing. She completed a Doctor of Nursing in 2005 at La Trobe University Melbourne, has a Master of Business and graduate qualifications in advanced nursing practice. As part of her current appointment, she has clinical responsibility for aged care services as well as leadership of the nursing and midwifery professions and the development of research and scholarship. She is a member of a number of advisory committees in the Department of Health, at Deakin University and with other Victorian Universities.

Jenny has worked in education for more than 40 years, both in Australia and overseas, as a teacher, university administrator and consultant to the higher education sector. She is involved in Rotary International, with her community involvement being conducted locally and internationally. Jenny is a member of the Nomination, Remuneration and Governance Committee.

Suzanne is a Nursing Manager and former board member of Barwon Youth. She has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Advanced Nursing), a General Nursing Certificate, Psychiatric Nursing Certificate, Midwifery Certificate and a Masters of Educational Studies (Maternal & Child Health).

Dr. Lloyd Owen is a Social Worker, Social Welfare Consultant, Independent Education Management Professional and Adjunct Senior Lecturer at La Trobe University.

Gary Glover

Gary was previously the Assistant Director, Business Management at Victoria Police with responsibility for the operation and provision of Properties and buildings across the State, a fleet of Police operational and non-operational vehicles, and the logistics function which provided uniforms and equipment to all operational police.
