Families in Geelong come in all shapes and sizes, with varying needs. We have services and programs to assist individuals and families with parenting, mental health, drug and alcohol issues, family violence and housing support.

Our Family Services include:

Family Support, which assists families in relation to parenting skills, mental health, drug and alcohol issues, family violence, housing and child protective issues. Typically Family Services take referrals from The Orange Door – a free service for adults, children and young people who are experiencing or have experienced family violence and families who need extra support with the care of children.

BCYF provides Foster Care for children and young people who cannot live at home with their parents or extended family for a number of reasons. There is an urgent need for more Carers.

Parent and Family Groups, designed for families from pre-birth stage up until your child is 18. Each program aims to support families during different stages of their parenting journey and their child’s life.

Step Up, an adolescent family violence program that aims to reduce young people’s use of violent and aggressive behaviours, while supporting affected family members.
