Billy's Bill is a concept developed by a 9 year-old boy called Billy. It is a community initiative to provide families with the help they need to give their children the gift of sport. In 2016 Billy approached Barwon Child, Youth & Family after seeing firsthand that many children who wanted to participate in sport were unable to due to financial reasons and decided to do something about it.
Sport is a pro-social activity that plays a positive role in the life of a young person and provides a safe, supportive community for them and their family.
With the money raised through donations Barwon Child, Youth & Family will identify families in need of this support and manage the child's sponsorship and transition into the sporting club.
100% of money donated will go directly to providing sporting opportunities to young people.
You can also donate equipment. If you have old (but in reasonable condition) footy boots, basketball boots, ballet shoes, cricket bats and the like lying around your house, please consider donating them to this project so that we can pass them on to the Children receiving sponsorship through Billy's Bill.
