Winner of the Geelong Business Excellence Awards Health and Well-Being Category

Glastonbury Community Services was thrilled to be the successful recipient in the Geelong Business Excellence Awards 2013 ‘Health and Well-being’ category last night. This is the third consecutive occasion on which Glastonbury has been successful in this regard, an outstanding achievement, placing them in the Award’s Hall of Fame category.

In accepting last night’s Award on behalf of Glastonbury, the Chief Executive Officer, Sandy Morrison, paid tribute to the 120 staff, the Board of Directors, and Volunteers all of whom he complemented on their “dedication and commitment to the delivery of a broad range of services to the vulnerable and less advantaged young people and families of our Region and keeping with the Glastonbury values of Care, Innovation and Collaboration.”

Mr Morrison said that he was very proud that a social care organisation such as Glastonbury is recognised at this level adding that “this external validation is a great acknowledgment of the services we deliver and the manner in which they are delivered.”

Congratulations to all the winners for 2013 and thank you to the Health and Well-Being sponsor and Glastonbury partner – Barwon Health, the judging panel and The Geelong Chamber of Commerce.
